What we keep,
and why.
LSTNR is a small curation service. We collect the least we can, we never sell anything about you, and you can ask us to erase all of it at any time.

Who we are
LSTNR is a music curation service operating at lstnrmusic.com. For anything in this notice, write to talktous@lstnrmusic.com.
What we collect
- Account details
Your email address and sign in credentials, handled by our authentication provider so you can return to your playlists.
- Your brief
The answers you give in the questionnaire: the setting you have in mind, mood, energy, familiarity, genres, timing, duration and any reference tracks you name.
- Your playlists
The tracklists we deliver to you and the history of what has already been delivered, so future playlists do not repeat tracks you have received.
- Streaming connection
If you choose to export, we hold a short lived access token from your streaming account, used only to create that playlist in your own library. We never read your listening history and we never post anything else.
- Messages you send
Anything you write to us by email stays in our mailbox so we can reply.
What we do not collect
No card or payment details. Curation is complimentary during our early access pilot, so there is nothing to bill and no card on file. We do not run advertising trackers, we do not build marketing profiles and we do not sell or share your details with anyone for their own purposes.
Cookies
We only use cookies that the service cannot work without: one that keeps you signed in, and one that carries your streaming export safely from the moment you approve it to the moment the playlist appears. There are no advertising, analytics or social media cookies, which is why you do not see a consent banner. Clearing your cookies simply signs you out.
How we use it
Your brief and your delivery history are used to build and improve the playlists we make for you. Curation pairs machine assisted music discovery with human editorial review: a person reads the brief, reviews the tracklist, sequences it and approves it before you receive it. Your email is used to reach you about your own orders, not for marketing.
Who else is involved
Our hosting and database provider stores your account and orders. Music discovery and preview lookups use public music catalogue services. Your streaming platform receives the playlist you asked us to create. Each of these only receives what that specific step needs.
How long we keep it
Your account, briefs and playlists stay while your account is open, so you can return to them. Streaming access tokens expire within the hour and are not stored beyond that session. When you ask us to delete your account, everything tied to it goes with it.
Deleting your data
Email talktous@lstnrmusic.com from the address on your account with the subject "Data deletion request". We remove your account, your briefs, your delivered playlists and your curation history within 30 days and confirm by reply. You can also ask us for a copy of what we hold, or ask us to correct it. Playlists already saved into your own streaming library belong to you and stay there; delete them in that app if you no longer want them.
Children
LSTNR is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect details from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will remove it.
Changes
If this notice changes we update the date at the top of the page. Material changes affecting how we use your details will also be sent to you by email.
